Black Friday VPN Deals: Prices, Renewals and End Dates Checked

Black Friday VPN deals are live at four providers today: Proton VPN at $2.49 a month for 2 years ($59.76), Surfshark at $2.49 a month for 27 months ($67.23), NordVPN from $3.49 a month for 27 months ($94.23, deal ends 9 December 2026) and Private Internet Access at $2.03 a month for 40 months in an “Early Access” sale. I checked each provider’s official pricing and terms pages on 4 November 2026, in US dollars before tax.

Two more label their pages Black Friday without a clear sale behind it: IPVanish’s prices match its everyday pricing page, and PureVPN’s order page and Black Friday page show different prices. Every deal renews at a higher price, so below you’ll find each first-term total, the renewal, the refund rule and how long the offer runs, as far as the providers say.

Key takeaways

  • Lowest 2-year cost among the labelled Black Friday deals: IPVanish $52.56 (same as its everyday price), then Proton VPN $59.76 and Surfshark $67.23 for 27 months.
  • Only NordVPN publishes an end date: “Deal ends December 9, 2026”. Proton, Surfshark, PIA and PureVPN show none, and IPVanish’s “Offer Ends” timer resets every midnight.
  • Renewals jump: NordVPN Basic renews at $139.08 a year, IPVanish at $99.99 and Proton VPN Plus at $83.88. PIA renews at $81.20 every 3 years.
  • Money-back windows are 30 days (31 at PureVPN), and most apply to your first purchase only, not renewals.
  • I couldn’t load ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Mullvad or Windscribe’s official pages from my connection, so they aren’t compared here.

Editor’s Choice: Proton VPN

If you want one Black Friday VPN deal and privacy matters most, Proton VPN is my pick: its 2-year price is among the lowest here, it states the renewal on the same card, and it covers 10 devices. This is an editorial choice based on my research-based Proton VPN review (official pricing, audits and terms), not on speed tests, and Proton is the one provider here that pays me a commission.

Live Black Friday VPN Deals

Proton VPN: $2.49 a month for 2 years

Proton VPN‘s Black Friday deal page says “Our best prices of the year, available exclusively through our partners.” VPN Plus is $2.49 a month for 2 years: “Billed at $59.76 for the first 24 months, then renews at $83.88 every 12 months.” Proton Unlimited (VPN, Mail, Drive, Pass and Calendar) is $6.49 a month for 1 year, billed $77.88, then $119.88 a year.

That’s cheaper than Proton’s own pricing page, where the same 2 years cost $83.76. The page says “All new users are eligible” and doesn’t mention existing users or an end date. More detail, including Proton’s past Black Friday offers, is in my Proton VPN Black Friday guide.

NordVPN: from $3.49 a month, ends 9 December

NordVPN’s Black Friday page reads “The best Black Friday VPN deal of 2026: Up to 78% off” and “Deal ends December 9, 2026”. Basic is $3.49 a month on a 2-year plan with 3 extra months, $94.23 for the first 27 months, then $139.08 a year. Complete is $105.03 for 27 months and renews at $219.48 a year.

Prices showed “GST may apply” on my connection, so tax depends on where you live. I rated NordVPN 4.6/5 in my NordVPN review.

Surfshark: $2.49 a month for 27 months

Surfshark’s pricing page shows a banner, “Hurry up! Grab our Black Friday deal here”, and a “Black Friday deal” badge on Surfshark One. Starter and One are both $2.49 a month for 24 months plus 3 extra months: $67.23 for the first 27 months (“VAT may apply”). Surfshark allows unlimited devices.

Its terms say plans “renew automatically at the full price” and that Surfshark “reserves the right to conduct A/B price testing”, so check the cart. The renewal figures in the page’s data were $79 a year for Starter and $99 for One. Its Black Friday page has a countdown but no end date in the text. My Surfshark review rates it 4.6/5.

Private Internet Access: $2.03 a month for 40 months

PIA’s banner says “Early Access Sale: Black Friday savings start now”. The 3-year plan is $2.03 a month with 4 extra months and “Autorenews at $81.20 every 3 years”; 40 months at $2.03 is $81.20 by my arithmetic, as the upfront total wasn’t shown. The 1-year plan is $47.88. PIA says all amounts are in USD and allows unlimited devices. My PIA Black Friday guide covers the older Halloween offer and the refund rules.

Labelled Black Friday, but Read the Small Print

IPVanish: Black Friday page, everyday prices

IPVanish has a Black Friday page with an “Offer Ends” countdown, but the countdown is computed from your device’s clock and resets at midnight every day. The prices on it ($2.19 a month for 2 years, $52.56) are the same as on its normal pricing page. 2-year plans renew yearly at $99.99 (Essential). Refunds cover yearly and 2-year plans within 30 days.

PureVPN: two different Black Friday prices

PureVPN’s order page says “Make the most of Black Friday” and shows Standard at $1.69 a month for 5 years, billed $101.55, then $47.95 a year. Its separate Black Friday page says “as low as $1.99 /mo”. Neither page gives dates, and the order page shows “$” without saying USD. Its refund window is 31 days and “does not apply to renewal payments”.

VPNs I Couldn’t Check

ExpressVPN, Mullvad and Windscribe’s websites didn’t load from my connection on 4 November 2026, and CyberGhost’s showed a bot check. I’m not listing prices or offers for them: Not verified. My CyberGhost review covers CyberGhost’s regular pricing and 45-day refund rule.

What You Pay After Black Friday

A Black Friday VPN price only covers the first term. Per month, the jump at renewal ranges from small (PIA) to more than three times the deal price (NordVPN and IPVanish).

Chart of Black Friday price vs renewal per month: Proton $2.49 to $6.99, NordVPN $3.49 to $11.59, Surfshark $2.49 to $6.58, PIA $2.03 to $2.26, IPVanish $2.19 to $8.33, PureVPN $1.69 to $4.00
  • Proton VPN Plus: $59.76 for 2 years, then $83.88 a year.
  • NordVPN Basic: $94.23 for 27 months, then $139.08 a year.
  • Surfshark Starter: $67.23 for 27 months, then $79 a year (page data).
  • PIA: $81.20 for 40 months, then $81.20 every 3 years.
  • IPVanish Essential: $52.56 for 2 years, then $99.99 a year.
  • PureVPN Standard: $101.55 for 5 years, then $47.95 a year.
Tip: Set a calendar reminder a week before the renewal date. All six renew automatically. Proton, Surfshark, PIA and PureVPN limit refunds to the first purchase, and NordVPN and IPVanish don’t say renewals are covered, so don’t count on a refund after a renewal charge.

Refund Rules Before You Prepay

  • Proton VPN: full refund within 30 days of the first purchase; “Refunds can only be requested once per user”, and cash or bank transfer payments aren’t refundable.
  • NordVPN: “tell us within 30 days of buying NordVPN and get a full refund.”
  • Surfshark: 30 days, initial purchase only; “all recurring payments are non-refundable.”
  • PIA: 30 days for new users who haven’t had a refund in the previous 3 months; not for App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
  • IPVanish: yearly and 2-year plans within 30 days; cancelling a monthly plan doesn’t start a refund.
  • PureVPN: 31 days from the first purchase; not on renewals.
Checklist before buying a Black Friday VPN deal: first-term total, renewal line, extra months, countdowns, first-purchase refunds, buy direct

Which Black Friday VPN Deal Should You Pick?

  • Lowest 2-year cost with a clear renewal: Proton VPN ($59.76) or IPVanish ($52.56, but that’s its everyday price).
  • Unlimited devices for a family: Surfshark ($67.23 for 27 months) or PIA ($81.20 for 40 months).
  • A firm deadline: NordVPN, until 9 December 2026.
  • A shorter commitment: PIA’s 1-year plan is $47.88, IPVanish’s $46.68 and PureVPN’s $40.80 (official pages, 4 November 2026).
  • Comparing features first: see my best VPN services roundup.

When Do Black Friday VPN Deals End?

Only NordVPN states a date: 9 December 2026. Surfshark’s Black Friday page notes that Black Friday falls on 27 November 2026 and shows separate Black Friday and Cyber Monday countdowns, without dates in the text. Proton, PIA, IPVanish and PureVPN give no end date, so a price can change without notice. I’ll update this page as offers change.
