Surfshark Black Friday Deal: $2.49 a Month, and Which Plan to Pick

The Surfshark Black Friday deal is live: Surfshark Starter and Surfshark One both cost $2.49 a month for 24 months plus 3 extra months, billed $67.23 upfront for the first 27 months. After that they renew at $79 a year (Starter) or $99 a year (One). I checked Surfshark’s official pricing, deal and terms pages on 4 November 2026, in US dollars before VAT.

The short answer: pick Surfshark One. It costs exactly the same as Starter on this deal and adds Antivirus, Alert (data-leak alerts) and Scam protection. You don’t need to type a coupon code (my link adds Surfshark’s own deal coupon automatically, and the price is the same without it), and Surfshark doesn’t show an end date in its page text, so the price can change without notice.

Surfshark Black Friday Prices

Surfshark’s pricing page shows a “Black Friday deal” label on Surfshark One and the banner “Hurry up! Grab our Black Friday deal here”. The 24-month plans include 3 extra months, so you pay for 27 months at once. My link opens Surfshark’s deal page, which shows the same price.

The 12-month plan showed a 7-day free trial in my browser: “$0.00” today, then $44.85 for 15 months plus tax. Surfshark’s pricing FAQ says a free trial works on only 3 devices until the trial ends. Trial availability may depend on your device or country (I saw this view on Surfshark’s Portuguese-language page, with prices still in US dollars).

Starter vs One vs One+: What You Get

• Starter: the VPN (unlimited VPN devices, ad and cookie pop-up blocker, split tunneling, rotating IP, double VPN) and Alternative ID, a masked email and online identity.
• One: everything in Starter plus Scam protection, Antivirus and Alert, which notifies you when your email addresses or other personal data appear in a leak.
• One+: everything in One plus identity theft coverage (Surfshark marks it with an asterisk; I didn’t capture those conditions: Not verified) and data removal by Incogni.

For most people One is the sweet spot on this deal, because it costs nothing extra over Starter for the first 27 months. The difference shows up at renewal: $99 a year instead of $79.

Is the 88% Discount Real?

Surfshark’s “Save 88%” compares $67.23 with $538.65, which is One’s $19.95 monthly price paid for 27 months. Its deal page also shows a crossed-out “$8.25”, and its footnote says that figure is the plan’s “now applicable recurring monthly rate”: $99 a year divided by 12.

So against what you’d pay on renewal, 27 months of One would cost $222.75 at $8.25 a month, and the Black Friday price saves about 70% (my calculation; Surfshark’s own page data also lists a 70% discount for One against its renewal rate). That’s still a large discount, just not 88% if you’d have bought a 2-year plan anyway.

What Surfshark Costs After Black Friday

Surfshark’s terms say plans “renew automatically at the full price” and that the 2-year plan is billed once, “then annually after it expires.” Over 39 months (the Black Friday term plus one renewal year), that’s $146.23 for Starter, $166.23 for One and $226.73 for One+ (my calculation).

Surfshark vs Other Black Friday VPN Deals

Compared with the other deals I checked the same day:

• Proton VPN Plus: $59.76 for 24 months, then $83.88 a year (see my Proton VPN Black Friday guide).
• NordVPN Basic: $94.23 for 27 months, then $139.08 a year; NordVPN says the deal ends 9 December 2026. I rated NordVPN 4.6/5 in my NordVPN review.
• PIA: $81.20 for 40 months, then $81.20 every 3 years (see my PIA Black Friday guide).

Surfshark’s edge is that One adds antivirus and data-leak alerts for the same price as its basic VPN, on top of unlimited VPN connections (PIA also offers unlimited devices; Proton and NordVPN allow 10). The full comparison is in my Black Friday VPN deals roundup.

Refund and Renewal Rules

• 30-day refund: “within 30 days following your initial purchase”, and “limited to one refund per Service.”
• Renewals: “all recurring payments are non-refundable.”
• Not refundable: payments by prepaid or gift card, anonymous Dedicated IP, and Alternative ID add-on purchases such as Alternative Number. If you buy through a reseller other than Paddle, Google Play or Cleverbridge, refunds follow that reseller’s rules.

When Does the Surfshark Black Friday Deal End?

Surfshark doesn’t say. Its Black Friday page notes that “Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026” and that its sale “typically starts early”, and it has Black Friday and Cyber Monday countdown boxes, but no end date appeared in the page text or source when I checked. I’ll update this page if a date appears.

How to Get Surfshark’s Black Friday Price

1. Open Surfshark’s deal or pricing page and choose the 24-month plan.
2. Choose Surfshark One (same price as Starter) and check the cart shows 27 months for $67.23.
3. Check whether VAT is added for your country, then pay.
4. Download the apps and sign in on your devices. Surfshark allows unlimited simultaneous VPN connections, but its terms exclude the Antivirus service from that and allow limits under a fair-usage policy.
5. Set a renewal reminder for early in month 27.
