Cloudways’ pricing page shows the Black Friday price on every plan card. Each server is billed monthly by usage; “All listed prices exclude applicable taxes.”

The offer also includes unlimited free managed migrations for WordPress and other PHP apps; the signup page says “Migrations must be requested within the next 2 months.”
How the 80% Discount Works
The official terms say you get “an 80% discount on their invoice for each of their first two calendar months of service usage”, applied to the whole invoice (servers, Autonomous, Copilot, AI tools and add-ons). Three rules matter:
- Cap: “The promotional discount is capped at $200 per month”, so it only limits you if your bill is above $250 a month: on a $400 bill you’d get $200 off, not $320.
- Part months may count: Cloudways bills by the hour and “If you sign up partway through a calendar month, your first invoice may therefore reflect only the applicable usage for that period.” The signup page says “first 2 invoices only”, so a late-November start may use one discounted invoice on a few days (Cloudways doesn’t spell this out; not verified).
- Minimum: a $1 minimum invoice applies, and any unused discount is forfeited.
For example, on DigitalOcean Premium Micro two full discounted months cost $5.60 instead of $28 (my calculation). Over the first six months that’s about $61.60 instead of $84, before backups, tax and add-ons.
How to Claim Cloudways’ Black Friday Price
The code doesn’t apply on its own: Cloudways says “It won’t apply automatically, so make sure to add it before completing your purchase.” My Cloudways link opens the signup page with BFCM802 already filled in and the message “Promo code applied successfully”.
- Open the signup page and check that BFCM802 shows a green tick.
- Create your account (no credit card is needed for the free trial).
- Launch your server and add billing before the trial ends; the trial server is deleted otherwise.
- Request your migrations within two months.
When Does the Cloudways Black Friday Deal End?
Cloudways gives three different signals:
- Terms: create your account with BFCM802 “by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on Friday, 04 December 2026”.
- Promo page: “These promo codes will expire at the end of Cyber Monday” (30 November 2026).
- Site banner: a countdown set to 6 December 2026 in the page code.
The terms are the binding document, but the safest plan is to sign up by 30 November. Cloudways hasn’t published a start date; the offer was live when I checked on 5 November. Discounts can’t apply to billing cycles that begin after 31 January 2027.
Who Can Use It
Only new customers. The terms define new as having no current or past Cloudways account “by email, payment method, billing entity, domain, or organization”, and existing customers who close an account to sign up again aren’t eligible. Cloudways’ FAQ adds that promo codes “usually cannot be combined with other discount codes.”
Refunds and Cancelling
- No money-back guarantee: I found none on Cloudways’ site, and the offer terms say discounts are “non-refundable”. The DigitalOcean terms Cloudways links to say fees paid “are non-refundable” except where stated.
- Free trial instead: “Flexible includes a 5-day free trial, no credit card required” (not on AWS or Google Cloud); Autonomous has a 3-day trial.
- Cancelling: delete your servers and paid add-ons to stop billing; you’ll get a final invoice for usage up to that date.
2026 vs Last Year’s Cloudways Black Friday Deal
In 2025 Cloudways’ Black Friday code was BFCM5050: 50% off for 3 months on all hosting plans, from 11 November to 4 December 2025, for new customers. On a $14 server that saved $21 over three months; the 2026 offer saves $22.40 over two months (my calculation). On any bill up to $250 a month the 2026 deal saves more in total (1.6 times the monthly price versus 1.5 times); the 2025 deal spread a smaller discount over three months instead of two.
Is Cloudways the Right Host for You?
- Good fit: growing WordPress or WooCommerce sites, agencies hosting several sites on one server, and developers who want managed cloud servers with staging and a choice of cloud provider.
